I would bet that others have had trouble with this in the past. Perhaps you could search previous posts (both within Compaq and on the whole Forum board).

When i click with the pen in the table buton says " Your tablet pc cant perform this action....

I had a similar problem on my TC1100 when I installed XP and accidentally skipped the 2nd CD when prompted. Sounds like you may have to reinstall or at least repair your OS. As for the rotation, it's controlled by the change mode service which you can install from the driver CD. I don't know if you can download it from the hp site or not.

Are you using the video drivers supplied with the machine?

It sounds like these may have been corrupted.


Try reloading the video drivers, and the Tablet PC Button Driver.

Yeah,just install driver from HP site and your screen should rotate automatically when keyboard is detached.

Here's a question. How do you stop screen from rotating everytime keyboard is detached? I use TC in slate mode which I use in landscape view and I constantly have to rotate screen everytime I turn on computer.
