When my Fujitsu tablet is attached to the docking station, it seems to be charging up, even when the Tablet is on. This seems to work out well, as it provides much longer battery life for one who is using the Tablet in docked mode for part of the work day.

I read on the Motion forum, however, that one should not leave a Tablet that is on charging in a dock, or for that matter with an AC adaptor, as this can damage the battery or unit.

I often will have the Tablet in the Dock, working in this mode. At other times, when near my plain AC adaptor, I'll even use the Tablet in slate mode, plugged into the AC, so that the battery is not draining and even slowly charging. Am I making a mistake?

Are you making a mistake? Not according to the Stylistic User's Guide.

I read that post in the Motion forum too. I don't think its accurate.

I agree I leave our 4120 in the dock when not using about the place - obviously it is also fair to say the tablet is only 1 week old - but i think these days batteries do not have the same properties as when we had the first generation of mobile phones where the battery had to discharge before recharging. I also read in the user guide that the battery will NOT recharge if over 90% charged.
