Unless you are intending to play lots of games or some kind of intensive 3D work I don't think you should throw out the machine you find ideal just because it doesn't have the best graphics card.

I've got the M400 and while the graphics card is a 'little' weak it does play the occasional older game but I mostly use it for work and studying anyway.
i will be taking some animation classes soon. i don't know how much graphics i will need, im just trying to be safe.

i do know i will want to watch (maybe even store) movies, listen to music, surf the net, run Flash, and run Adobe Photoshop. I MUST have a convertible tablet pc!! they are sooo cool!!

games is secondary to all that but it would be nice.

i definitely need long battery life and would like it to with stand a little bit of rough handling (carried in a bag a lot with text books and folders)
