Hi All,

I have a really strange problem on my M200 running Vista Ultimate.

I'm a consultant who uses his laptop both at home and at work. I have two separate Windows accounts for home and work.

At home, I'm connected wirelessly to my router. At work, I'm plugged into the network via an Ethernet cable.

When I'm at home, everything works perfectly well (regardless of which account I'm using. But when I'm at work, something inexplicable happens. My M200 "stutters." For example, let's say that I'm typing a word (in any application), like "test." At regular intervals, what happens is:

testttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

My M200 has a mini-seizure and repeats the last keystroke for some milliseconds before I regain control of it. This also seems to affect iTunes.

The only differences between home and work are:

1. I run Lotus Notes at work, but never at home;
2. I use WiFi at home and a wired Ethernet connection at work.

I have--when I was setting Vista up initially a few weeks ago--connected to my router using an Ethernet cable but didn't experience any stuttering. On the other hand, I might not have done this long enough to notice.

I wonder if the Ethernet driver might be the culprit.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Any suggestions?

It's very unlikely that ethernet is to blame ( although it might be remotely possible that the drivers are acting up, it's very unlikely ).

It is however (knowing the lack of QA in Notes) very probable that Notes may be the problem.

Try using the computer for some time at work without Notes (without it being even running) and see if you can replicate your problem ( if at all possible ).
