After formatting HD I'm attempting to reinstall
After formatting HD I'm attempting to reinstall the os from the recovery disks. The recovery processes begins and but then I get the blue screen - repeatedly - says to run chck disk /f but, off course, I can't get to a prompt to do this.
Any ideas?

Why do I want a 9" computer with no keyboard? Probably for the same reasons someone else might want to lug around a 17" behemoth with a keyboard: it suits me, it does the job, and I know how to use it.

I got a new cd image from viewsonic via FTP and it reformats and works without the blue screen. You need to call them directly for the ftp site and they will give you the login and password.
