Watching OCC this morning and noticed that the design guy was using a TC4xx.
Anymore?

Don't get me wrong, I have been looking at the TC1x00 as a possible second unit, but I wonder if the TV shows use that one for the cool factor, and the one I saw was more for actual business use?quote:Originally posted by tonyd

Since the OCC designer needs a little more horsepower, the choice seems to make a bit more sense.
Bottom line is, the TV exposure will add to the pubilc migration to the tablet over the standard laptops.
I know I will never own another computer that is not a tablet!!
I guess I have to watch more TV - what is OCC?quote:Originally posted by goirish_1

Oh, absolutely. TV shows use the TC1x00 just for its form factor. They let the audience assume that it's a super high horsepower unit. We all know that in reality (although OCC is rapidly becoming less and less "real") there are many, many more "ordinary" looking tablets that run circles around the TC1x00s.
If you haven't owned a TC1x00, or haven't brought it out in public, then you may not know what kind of a reaction you get. It's like driving up in a Ferrari.
