Just wanted to share an interesting review of the Pepper Pad, which as you may have guessed is the linux version of the Origami/UMPC. Costs $800.

What will be more interesting is the Pepper Pad Plus coming out this Summer which is smaller, less expensive and faster (I played with it last week). Here are some photos of the new Plus model and some other info:

Looks a lot nicer than the original pepper pad with some much needed features. I guess the question is whether a PDA-powered device (regarding the hardware, 533mhz AMD chip? only 20-30gig hdd?) can really suffice for some of the higher end functions that an origami can pull off.

I see they have added some important capabilities since 6 months ago - they now include a Java virtual machine.
They should really put some nice GPS nav software in the next one. That would make it very appealing to many more people.
