Default I had posted this yesterday, but then it seemed

I had posted this yesterday, but then it seemed to solve itself, so I erased my post, but just now it's done it again.

Bluetooth functionality has apparently completely disappeared.
I've got an Acer Travelmate C314.
when i press the bluetooth button on the keyboard, it says "no device"
As far as the control panel can tell, there is no bluetooth hardware installed.
There doesn't seem to be anything in Device Manager that is wrong/could be bluetooth.

There are no bluetooth drivers on my recovery discs from Acer, and I'm not sure how to resolve this problem.
If anyone knows a solution, or can help me to figure out a way to fix this problem, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Tyanks.

You must have reloaded the XP OS. The place to look is Right-click My Computer->Hardware->Device Manager->modem or bluetooth.

If nothing is there, it will mean when you reload bluetooth device is not detected and hence not installed. To switch the physical device on without using the tablet button, you need to press F12 at the ACER reboot screen and do it in the BIOS and reboot again.

That said, the XP OS will only load the MS bluetooth device driver which is not too useful.

The easier way is to goto the ACER tech bulletin and download their bluetooth driver sets (which actually is a WIDCOMM one) which is the pre-installed one which came with the tablet.

Sorry for the late reply, been busy.

The US driver download can be found:
    http://www.acerpanam.com/synapse/for...7293&areaid=7&

Or you can navigate via Acer US->Service & Support->Drivers download

I heard the taiwanese web site might sometimes have more updated drivers but it is in Chinese and hard to navigate. Also for bluetooth drivers it is not quite worth the effort. The one since the tablet was released was stable.
