Hi,
I've been trying to upgrade to Wireless-G on the internal mini pci card in the Travelmate C102ti. I initially tried an Intel card which was not recognized. I now have a Broadcom card which the bios recognized the first time I installed it, but I didn't have the correct driver :-(
The next time I rebooted, the card was not recognized at all (BIOS choice of network card was greyed out). I tried removing the battery and power supply to "reset", and the card was recognized for about 10 seconds, then the light went off.
I really like my little computer, but Acer's way of doing things makes it incredibly difficult to tweak the system. My thought is that it is looking only for the original Lucent card or nothing.
Has anyone had any luck upgrading the C100 Series to Wireless-G...using the internal card? I know I can use the CardBus slot or USB, but I already have too many outboard devices vieing for that electronic real estate :-)
Any help would be appreciated!
