    Default I have a S

I have a ST3400 for sometime with original 98se, which crushed quite often so recently I replaced it with xp. There are few glitches which I got after xp installed.

I got two error massages after windows booted.
First error message: "Fujitsu Display Monitor Application- Query
    Support Failed."
I close this message then second error message appeared:
"WMI Error- Error Accessing Class Instance."

I close the error message and everything works find except that the screen rotate function no more exist which I am not use it anyway. Also the integrated sound is not working. I have long ago use a USB sound adaptor to replace integrated audio because even under windows 98se, the integrated sound would works on and off without a reason so I decided to discard it and use a USB sound adaptor instead.

However, there is one annoying glitch. When playing music (using WMP or Realplayer)there is a constant clicking noise. I have try every trick but this problem persist. However, I found out lately that if I minimize the WMP window then the noise will be disappeared.

So, anyone who have installed XP on st3400, please advise if you have experienced same problems or what can I do to eleminate the noise?

    Thanks.

Regarding the errors, no solution except discard Xp SP2. Not too sure if that happen in XP w/ SP1 or SP1a

I don't have the WMP problem that you mention, but would that be "start Navigation" sound that you can found in XP?
Control Panel->Sounds and Audio Device Properties -> Sounds.
Under Program events scroll around mid-way down, you will find "Start Navigation"

    Thanks for replay.

The noise is like kind of static discharge noise. I would get this noise as well as when I move mouse over display while playing music(in addition to the constant noise already present). To me, It's like kind of that CPU is too slow to handling the IRQ.

But more puzzling is: I install XP on another drive and the static noise is not there. This drive is a 5GB and the problem one is 15GB. How could this capacity differences possibly explanation this phenomenon? Or there is something else? I check the specification of these two drive and they are having same access time. The 15GB has two disk and 3 heads, the 5GB has one disk and one head. Other performance details almost identical. So I am very confused why 5GB drive works find (with WMP) and 15GB drive would produce those static noise?

PS- I can't find any difference in performance when running other programs under those two drives.
