http://www.tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/uploaded/wcrocker/200641672431_duostickbuzz.jpgThis is one of the more intriguing Tablet PC reviews I have read. David N. Wallace (Dave the Lifekludger) is a quadriplegic and has he puts it, "I seem to have a brain wired to solve problems." He's been trying out a Sahara slate and has posted his methods of pen input which are simply amazing.

Dave blogs through how he discovered the various options of input on the Tablet PC and what works and what didn't work for him. Check out how he uses his "duo-stick" for input.

"I quickly got into the grove of what I’ll call ‘scrawling’. The weight of the pen made it a little more cumbersome than I would’ve liked but the ability of the software to recognise my ‘scrawling’ was amazing. I found I could even write in a manner where I left the pen on the screen and joined the letters in a semi-cursive style."

Follow the READ MORE link for the entire review.

In response to this post - I am currently doing my co-op at a children's centre which provides augumentative and alternative communication to children from birth-21. There are many children at my centre who are able to use standard tablet pc's, many who use touch screens, voice recognition, etc. etc.

Anyways - it is absolutely incredible what David was able to come up with on his own....thanks for the link WCrocker~

It's a really good article. Other quadriplegics can learn from his trials and errors on using a Tablet PC. His life experience is an example of what a disabled person goes through.
