An old topic, but hHopefully you guys are still using mindManager.

I have read the posts where people talk about notetaking in mindmanager & the stickynotes etc workarounds.

I've just gotten around to trying this out. I like mindmaps, but need to be able to jot down the occasional paragraph of notes to go with the short "branches" - is this not possible with the pen? People talk about takeing notes with it, do they just mean making the mindmap with 1-2word branches?

Is there anyway to include ink notes or take free form notes (several sentences?)
Any more recent solutions or word from mindjet.
    Thanks.

I just put my notes in a text note. Sadly, I have to use the TIP (Tablet Input Panel) to add ink, and let it convert to text.

There may be another way, just haven't found it yet.

If anyone from Mindjet is lurking:
Will X5 Tablet edition offer pen based notes?

I sure hope so - it really is an incredibly usefull program. The ability to turn a mindmap into a word document outline, complete with notes is impressive. Unfortunately, the TIP is way to slow to enable me to take decent notes in real time. I use a slate tablet, and try to avoid the keyboard for notetaking. It is unfortunate that the only way to take fast notes with mind manager is to switch constantly between text and ink. I'm afraid I will have to give up on mindmanager if x5 doesn't address this need.
