If so, then a pure slate such as a Motion might work for you.
Otherwise, one of the dual core convertibles should suffice.
Hello All
I am a high school senior who will be going to college this september and like most seniors, I too am in the process of buying a notebook. I was thinking about buying an Apple Powerbook but have decided, TPC's have much more to offer. I would like everyone's input on what I should purchase in the next 2-3 weeks (Why so soon? (A) I want to get used to it (B) Have some big projects that will be much easier with a TPC)
Currently, I use an Athlon XP running at 1.47GHz with 512MB RAM. I believe that a 12" screen would be the best (maybe 14") for my purposes which include taking notes, listening to music, watching videos, using the internet, using Office Apps, some Adobe Photoshop work, and absolutely no games (if there are any tasks/programs that I have not included or should anticipate using, please let me know if they are critical to my decision).
Something with comprable power of the system above would be nice. My budget is going to be under $2000. I hope this includes the price of optical drives and the such that I will have to buy. I am having a very difficult time choosing a tablet b/c there seem to be so many bells and whistles that I can choose from (including Lenovo's fingerpring security on the X41). Also, I'm not sure about how much power I should buy and how long it will last me.
Some models that I've considered (b/c of this awesome forum!) include the Lenovo X41T, HP Compaq tc4200, and the 2 Toshibas (one of which is a dual core? Would I want such a processor?)
Any Help Will Be Appreciated!
Thanks In Advance!
