Default Hi, I recently upgraded the disk in my 3500 t

    Hi,

I recently upgraded the disk in my 3500 to a WD800VE (80 GB, 5400 RPM, 8 MB Cache). Since the upgrade, the system seems to be slower. I defragmented the disk, but that had no effect. Any thoughts?

Could your old disk have been a faster RPM drive?

You may need to download a utility from the hard drive manufacturer that will let you change the firmware settings on the hard drive. They may be set to a slower transfer speed for some unknown reason.
