Here's the first thing I've seen not under NDA on what's coming from HP.

I noted an S-Video TV Out jack on the back. Is this indicative of a dedicated (non-integrated) video card? If so, wouldn't this be the first Tablet released with the Core Duo and dedicated video?
Hmm...
Doesn't the 4200 have S-Video? Isn't the 4200 integrated graphics?
D'oh! You're right, the 4200 does have S-video out and is integrated video. So much for that hypothesis.
from what I've been able to gather, the tc4400 doesn't have much over the tc4200 except for dual core options, finger print reader, and outdoor screen option.
Actually you can order the tc4200 with the outdoor screen (wish I had one).
Right you are, Rob. As far as I can tell this is a very incremental upgrade. HP seems to have abandoned Compaq's "full speed ahead and damn the torpedoes" approach in favor of a "be safe, go slow" approach. Too bad.
They may have something under wraps waiting on Vista.
That will be a long wait. So HP has continued and maintained it's conversion of religions from slate to convertible. Hallelujah!quote:Originally posted by rdowty
