This should be the ideal topic about discussing acers tablet (c200 series) disappointments or problems.

Well, I've got one i guess!

When i use the tablet format, and i'm going to use the pen (btw, i think the pen is too sensative) and i'm holding the pen about 40cm away from the screen, the cursor is going to the taskbar and it will activate any program continuesly (maximizing minimizing) on the same place!
    It is very annoying!

does anybody face the same problem using the acer tablet pc c202?

    Huh?

You can adjust the sensitivity, and I've never encountered that problem before, lol.

40 cm? My pen has to be about 1-2cm away from the screen to do anything.

Could you explain your problem a little more?

Problem I have is with the screen cover, I think it's very awkward opening and closing, I would've preferred a plastic cover with foam that latched onto the screen instead of the current "stretch band".

Hello steve, I know this problem you're talking about, I had the exact problem before, but since my last clean install of the Win XP Tablet Edition (not the acer recovery disks) I don't have this problem anymore, I don't really know what caused it, but you can try to upgrade you GPU drivers, I have made a tutorial on this at http://forum.tabletpcreviewspot.com/...ead.php?t=1221, maybe it can help.

I have this exact problem with a 204TMi. And I know of two other 204TMi's with the same problem.

    The issue is as follows:

When in slate mode on battery power - there is no problem.

When in slate mode on mains power - this is when the problem starts.

Basically, there is a point on the screen which becomes "active" and if you have any windows sitting in the taskbar on that location it will start to minimise and maximise those windows. It will also automatically drag the mouse cursor from anywhere on the screen to this point.

The "point" being approx 7 cm's from the leftedge of the screen in landscape mode and at the bottom of the screen of course. This is also an issue in portrait mode as it is the exact same spot (7cm's up from the bottom right hand side) however since the taskbar is now at the bottom of the screen - it just drags the mouse cursor to this point.

This issue seems to be something like electronic interference - as you don't actually have to go into full slate mode for it to rear it's ugly head. Having the screen in "almost slate" will cause this problem as well.
This coupled with the fact that it only happens on mains power is what is making me think that it is a problem with some sort of electrical interference. The "spot" of the problem would have to be around about the lefthand edge of the space bar. I removed the wifi card thinking that this might be causing it however it is still happening.

I am at a complete loss as to what else I can do. Acer of course told me to reinstall using the recovery disks. I informed them that it was happening at the base install point - and was not a software issue from what I could ascertain (I am an IT professional).

They then wanted me to return the tablet... Which of course I am loathed to do as I have no other machine to use.

Everyone that checks out the tablet loves it - and all want one, however I will not purchase any until I can figure out what this problem is...

    ANY help would be appreciated,

    birdy
