Default I started using a Palm ages ago and quite recent

I started using a Palm ages ago and quite recently started using a tablet PC. I have a Palm Tungsten T3 (bluetooth) and LG LT-20 tablet PC (bluetooth+wifi).

To my regret I find many of the tablet PC functions dealing with time management and agenda unusable because they are unsyncable with my Palm. For planning Palm is still my primary device since it turns on immediately and is ready for action as soon as I pull it out of my pocket, its size is small and I am not afraid to take it out in a crowded bus.

In any case, both Palm and Tablet have functionalities that only serve certain purposes. The question is then how to combine them together effectivally. You cannot sync TAO outlook records entered in Ink. You cant sync onenote with Palm to see your current notes etc.

I wonder if there are some more people out there trying to combine these two great platforms. Did you discover some tricks how to make the cooperation between your Palm and Tablet effective and not painful, increasing instead of decreasing your productivity while using all of their functions without compromising?

Technically, Palm will say that their (old, existing) OS does not support the TabletPC platform. It's easy to understand why they would say this. But since Palm appears to be migrating toward Microsoft's mobility products, future Palm products may (likely will) exhibit the interoperability that you are seeking. However, I know that wasn't your question.

I run Palm Desktop 4.1.4 (I think it is...) on my tablet, but I only port (synch)updates from my Tungsten to my tablet because I actually keep several desktop installations running simultaneously. Using the PDA as the change portal is the only realistic way to maintain consistent content control among all the desktops. For this reason, I've never been motivated to explore any "tricks" to compensate for Palm's appalling software quality.

Sorry not to be of any help, but my point is that maybe a different use pattern is more appropriate for you than trying to collect a bunch of tricks...?

I do agree that different use pattern is a solution but in that case I dont see any other way than to use both devices in parallel terms for the same functionality. It would mean not using tablet for agenda at all and only using Palm. That is what I do now but I regret all the great functionality the Tablet has when I take notes and need to plan at the same time.

By the way, does the Pocket PC platform support Tablet PC inking? Does it sync outlook with inking and can you open word docs with ink?
