Okay, now I'm a bit annoyed.
I put my tablet into hibernation for about an hour, then turned it back on, only to find myself staring at this:

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/92853150@N00/101279875/

About 0.75 inches of pixels that change in colour every so often (right now they're all black) and 0.75 inches of pixels that are distorted and create twitching lines over the desktop.

I know it's a hardware failiure, as I have tried an external monitor. However, this will be the third time I'll have to send my tablet in for repair. Does anyone have any suggestion on this screen issue? And can anyone tell me if I have a lemon for a tablet? Will Acer exchange the whole thing this time, because this is ridiculous!

    Thanks! :-)

I haven't seen the LCD problem in particular; but it does seem that you've been hit with back-to-back problems as I was when I first got my tablet. I'm happy to report that on the large part, I've fixed most of my issues through my own means and although Acer's tech support was friendly, they weren't able to fix my problems... I'm not saying that with more given time they wouldn't have been able to, I just didn't have the time to send it to them once again.

But anyways, about your issue; is this a repeated problem? I didn't hear it officially, but it seems that there's an internal thumb of rule that if they're unable to fix your issue after three times, they'll replace the entire tablet for you. My tablet was replaced twice before I figured out that it was an engineering problem that I was dealing with but they weren't willing to admit it. The only catch is that they'll have to be able to reproduce the problem consistently.

    txtrinitytiger,

This issue has never occured before, but started about 5 days ago. My tablet has been in for servicing two times already, a replacement keyboard had to be sent to me, and my power adapter had to be replaced as well. I am planning to call them up and schedule a pick-up for Monday for this issue and the wireless issue reported in my other post.

"...if they're unable to fix your issue after three times, they'll replace the entire tablet..."

I haven't had the same issue occur, but I have had many different issues. I suppose Acer won't replace my tablet. But seriously, is every other mobile computer user having to send in their machine this many times within the first year? I don't think so. Is it possible that I'm the only one who has a "lemon" for a tablet?

I'm crossing my fingers that these will be my last hardware problems.

    Comments/suggestions welcome.

If the lines were horizontal I'd say bad video memory.

Do the lines only appear after hibernation? If only after hibernation it could be a problem with reinitializing video. In any case send it back and let us know what they say.

Sorry, I guess I didn't make myself too clear,

After that day, the lines have STAYED on the LCD. No matter where I am (in Windows, in the BIOS) the lines are stuck on the LCD and that portion of the screen is now unusable. The digitizer still works in that area though.

Now, they are all black, and there's only one strand that's green.

Just thought I'd post an update.

I did send my tablet in (for the third time) to fix the screen and wireless issue. The screen issue was solved by a new LCD screen. The wireless issue was solved with a new miniPCI card. It was away for about a week, and it's been back in my hands for about three weeks.

Right now, everything is good. I haven't experienced the "freeze-up" issue in a long time (maybe because I've been leaving an actual SD card in that slot instead of the filler). The only problem right now that is still somewhat bothering me is the stand-by" issue (tablet comes out of stand by on its own, and yes, I've tried tinkering with ePowerManagement).

If you're having any other issues with your C310, feel free to post here. I think we need to create a thread with all the problems, and their solutions, so that everything is in one place. With all these issues going around, I think this would help a lot of users. Hopefully, I'm not going to have any other issues with my tablet.
