I have this weird problem with Windows when they are maximised not actually filling the screen.

They leave a gap the size of the TIP at the top (I have it docked there), no matter what I try I cannot get them to fill the entire screen without opening the TIP, minimizing the window, maximizing the window, minimizing the window, closing the TIP then maximizing the window.

I did a reg. edit (which I found on google groups) to get rid of the HUGE icon for the TIP from the start bar, this means I have to use the soft button to sort it, so if I am using my tablet in convertible mode that means, pen out....... Such a pain!

Is there a fix for this, an easier way to do it? Is it just me? I don't know for sure, but I think it is just MS Office that does this, and OneNote does it alot more than anythign else, but not everytime.

May I suggest you use the floating TIP (IPTIP) that comes by default with SP2 of Tablet PC Windows XP? The docked one tells all applications that the window area available is smaller than it really is, and that doesn't always get cleared up properly. The IPTIP is much more useful anyway, with multi-line support and so on...
