i donwloaded this software, burnt the ISO on a CD like noted in the instructions, and put it into my TECRA DVD Drive.

Then I changed the boot priority in my BIOS from HDD to CD.

But the system doesn´t boot from CD; even when I press "c" while booting. The CD runs for a few seconds, then I see the Windows start picture and I am on my windows desktop. No chance to boot the ISO from CD...

What the hell is that now? Can you help me? Thanks in advance for feedback!

Looks like you either have a bad burn or your cd is not recognized in time. Is the cd readable in windows? If yes, you can try going into bios for a minute, wait until the cd is recognized, then exit discarding the changes.

Also no need having the old bios, update to the latest. Maybe there is a bug in the old one.

i have a toshiba m30 and recently had it serviced. The cpu is now only running at 600 Mhz and i downloaded the utility for this site. I booted the utility and went to the menus (2, 1) and then the program just stopped. It didnt restart so i restarted myself but the speed was still stuck at 600 Mhz. Does anyone know of anything else i can do?

No one seems to have helped this guy out. I had exactly the same problem as this guy. I managed to sort it out by using and older version of the pom file. For people struggling to work they should try the following three files when booting.

You need to try a different CD or make of CD, some computers can get iffy, also did you burn it at the slowest speed? The best way I managed to do rather archeaically was to get an external floppy drive and boot from the floppy.

Make sure you try several files as some may be incompatible as I found out here there are.

Hello, following the instructions on this forum I have been able to upgrade 3 different M200's to 2.0 Dothan's without any problem. This and 2 gb of ram make this a good little tablet. The question I have is has anyone made the 2.1 Dothan's (400 mhz ) work? If so how? I have 2 chips sitting around and tried one in an M200 with no success. I read earlier that someone did using the pm765.bin file but I need instructions on how he did this. Thanks in advance for any help.

I upgraded my M200 the other day to a 2.1 GHz Pentium M 765. Pretty sweet. Here's how I did it (stole this from Semberger in another thread):
1) Download pom200t1.ima: http://www.stormpaintball.com/toshiba/pom200t1.IMA
2) Download pm765.bin: http://www.stormpaintball.com/toshiba/pm765.bin
3) Format a floppy disk. Do not use quick format.
4) Extract pom200t1.ima to a floppy. Verify that the files extracted OK.
5) Copy pm765.bin to the floppy. If possible, use a checksum calculator to verify file integrity.
6) Boot your system from the floppy (instructions are all over the place - except you're NOT going to select option #2.
7) Instead, press Shift-F5 (on bottom of page).
8) At the DOS prompt, type:
chgmc /cf pm765.bin
then press Enter.

Follow the on-screen prompts, and enjoy the fast M200 experience!
