    Hi,

    The key to booting from any USB device is the BIOS on the machine, which is nicely described in the link below, as well as getting a drive bootable. If your machine CAN boot from a USB device then it should be just a matter of going step by step to do what you want. In the example, the author talks about a USB drive, but the theory is the same as for a USB CDROM. Once you get the hardware set up, you should be able to boot from any bootable CDROM, whether its your rescue CD or WIN98 or whatever. BTW, my Stylistic CANNOT boot from a USB device. Period.
