ok this may be a dumb question but can I use any external hard drive with the Tecra M4 if it hooks up through usb?

yes, i use a powered desktop drive in an enclosure for Ghosting my drive, and a self powered US> B laptop drive for extra storage - i did just order a drive caddy to replace my optical drive as well
