A major round of TabletPCbuzz applause, please, for virenpatel!
Regarding my previous thread "omnipass + strong security = LOCKED OUT":
Viren's suggestion - try Safe Mode (good old f8 while booting - need a USB keyboard to do it). Did so, and it let me log on with Windows Logon but without Omnipass.
I then summarily uninstalled the Omnipass software.
A standard reboot then gave me back my desktop on the strength of my keyed-in Windows password alone.
Many thanks to you, Viren!
Or, as Mel Brooks would say, "I present you, sir, with this Laurel, and Hardy Handshake!"
Well done!
Now I can decide about reinstalling the Omnipass driver and software at my leisure, after I've calmed down about it, and if I bloody well feel like it.
My sincere thanks, virenpatel! I see you've still got "trainee status", like me.
Stick around, ok? We may be needing you around here...
Thanks again,
Michael in Central PA
