Default Does anyone just leave their R15 screen in Table

Does anyone just leave their R15 screen in Tablet position all the time?. Is the screen durable enough to survive that kind of abuse?

(probably should have bought a true tablet, but l did'nt know how much I'd like it)

While we are speaking of the R15's screen, just want to add this: interm of brightness and glare, how is the R15's compare to M4?

    Thanks in advance,

I leave my r15 tablet in slate mode all the time. It is very durable and scratch resistance. I wouldn't put it in a bag with books but I keep it in a laptop case and I have no problems. I noticed the screen will distort if you press hard on the center so I wouldn't recommend putting it in places where a lot of pressure is put directly on the screen. The r15 is durable, I dropped once and bumped it against the wall a few times and it still runs nicely.

I too had second thoughts about buying a convertible. But now after over 6 months of owning I am glad I got it. I like having the power of a notebook and the integrated cdrw/dvd drive. I also like being able to convert it for typing school papers.

The screen on the r15 has quite a bit of glare. It is fine for indoor use, but outdoors direct and indirect sunlight makes it very hard to use. I don't have access to a M4 so I couldn't tell you the difference.

Glare on the basic M4 screen is bad as well IMHO. I had to add one of the screen protectors to make it useable in my bad florescent lighting.

    jmcmillan757,

Great to hear you were able to find a away to reduce some of the glare. Which screen protector did you use? There were some posts in this forum talking about the amount of work went into putting in new screen protector as they have to peel off the original one, which route did you take? Did you just apply one on top of the original or peeling off the original prior to putting on the new one?

    Best regards,
    Techson
