I believe the X41T will support it, since the integrated graphics has 3D acceleration and 96 MB or so of memory. Of course, you can't expect it to be as fast as discrete graphics.
A software program I'm considering for the X41T has this requirement:
"32 MB AGP graphics card with 3D acceleration (64 MB recommended). NVIDIA GeForce(tm) or ATI Radeon(tm) class card recommended."
Does anyone know if the X41T will support it?
(I couldn't tell from the Lenovo website.)

May as well tell us the name of the software or see if there's demo or trial version available?
Anyway, the requirement is vague, if it really means the original GeForce or Radeon, which are more than 5 years old now, I think the X41T will do just fine.

Good idea.
The product is called DV Rack. It's for recording live from a DV Camcorder.

A third option is to ask the company which makes and/or sells it. But since a trial version is available I think you're better off test it yourself.
It must work, I even used it on a much older X21.
I am also sure there is trail/demo version.
firewire port would be nice, gotta be in next model
That's good to hear. And, yes, there's a trial version. But, I really try to avoid installing software that I may not keep. I haven't had the best of luck with "complete" uninstalls.quote:Originally posted by bastiaan

Thanks!
Would be convenient, but sacrifices like that define the Flyweight tablets. If this unit was loaded down with S-vid, Firewire, optical drive, etc, it would be a different & heavier machine. Of course, as tech keeps developing, components will get smaller till we have nano-tablets and those sacrifices will change over time.quote:Originally posted by playrink

If you do want Firewire on a ultra-portable, there are good PCMCIA cards that offer 1-4 ports. (If anyone picks one up, make sure to double-check power supply, since some require AC supply (assuming desk use) and others run off Notebook power)
HTH.
