I like to have the battery on the left after I flip the screen. Can anyone tell me how to have the default screen rotation be the correct one for me after I do this?

(I'll wear out the rotate button otherwise!.)

Go to the settings for the Tablet Shortcut menu. You can change the default orientation in tablet mode there.
