i posted a similar thread on leoG, but i was hoping to field some more replies. pardon the cross-post.

something that was mentioned is that going to portrait mode defaults into 8bit color(???) can people confirm? does windows give you other resolutions in portrait mode, like a 16 or 24bit option? or do people generally not notice (probably a good thing). sorry for the typos, it almost 4am here :X

The driver says that it's in 8 bit, and as soon as you change the depth any higher, it automatically changes the resolution of the screen so that you have to scroll around. I think it is a lower depth than 32 bit for sure as images are not quite as sharp, but I can't really notice the difference all that much.
