I believe the Intel PRO is universally aknowledged as being superior to the Atheros. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Ok, it seems the only different between the two models 18666SU and 18666TU is the mini PCI wireless.
SU has the Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG, Intel 82533 chipset
while the
TU has the Thinkpad 11ABG Mini PCI Adapter II, Atheros AR5004X chip
Which mini PCI wireless is better? Intel or Atheros?

How's Intel PRO universally acknowleged as being superior? I'm really interested.
So I should get the 18666SU instead of TU?
I thought I read on here that the Intel caused people more problems compared to the IBM. Very interested as well . . .
It's about the same...
I tend to lean towards Atheros, since my X41T with the Atheros one seems to get better range/signal than my friend's X41 with the Intel 2915.
Here's a LONG thread about Intel PRO/Wireless vs. Atheros and others:

And perhaps this:

I have used both cards on my X41. The IBM card I received was defective and causing the system to BSOD after about five minutes of usage, and the warranty people said it was out of stock, so I convinced the guy to send me the Intel card instead.
I can verify that the Atheros card seemed to have slightly better signal strength than the Intel, but I'm not sure about performance, as I didn't have the time or facilities to test. I tend to lean towards the Intel, though, mostly because it didn't cause my tablet to self-destruct. But that's just me :)
I've sold my 18695CU, and already ordered the 18666SU :D
I am poised to buy an X41. It is not clear from these threads which product is the superior, the Atheros or the Intel.
Would appreciate your wisdom so that I can make a more informed decision to buy an S or a T.
It's about the same... supports the same base functionality, anyway. Get the cheaper one. If they're the same price, I'd say go for the Atheros, but that's just me (see post from me above).
