Hi everybody,

I normally don't switch off my desktop until it quits but with the tablet, I am not sure if t Should keep it in the case in Stand-by mode. How do you all un your tablets? Is it advisable to keep the tablet in Stand-by mode or turn it off before putting it in its case?

I normally shut down when i leave the office, then start up when i get on site, but i'm a new user.

How long will my TC1000 stay in stand-by before it hibernates or the battery life is to short to use when i get on site ?????

If I'm sure I'll be using the tablet within about an hour, I use standby. Otherwise I use hibernate (a good alternative to shutting down). The only problem with putting the computer in a case in standby is that if the computer turns itself back on (due to low battery power, when the time limit to switch to hibernate has been reached, etc.), and, the computer cannot hibernate for some reason, it will sit there cooking in your bag. I've had this happen a few times, so now it's always hibernate for any bag storage over a hour or so.
