Hello everyone,
I just happened across this forum while trying to do some research.
I am just about to purchase a C200X from the gateway site, but have a couple of questions for the other owners first.
1.) Is the ATI x600 worth the extra $100. I am worried about battery life (Ill be getting the 12 cell battery) and was wondering how much this type of ATI card will eat into battery life when I am not playing games.
2.) I went to Best Buy to try out a similar model and found that the screen was VERY wobbly. The display looked beat up, but has anyone else found this to be a problem?

One other question, is the difference in performance going from a 740 (1.73ghz) to the 750 (1.86ghz) worth 50$?

After some more searching around I decided to go with the ATI card and the M750. The unit is supposed to arrive on Dec 8. Ive been reading about some people having issues with the stylus/screen. Are there any other things I should investigate when the tablet arrives?

I can't compare the ATI to the Intel (I bought the ATI) but I can say the power draw on a battery when you are not playing games is minimal as long as you have powerplay enabled. I got great battery life out of mine on a recent trip overseas with the 8 cell.

As for the stylus, when you first get your unit clean the screen good. Then clean it again. Then clean it again. Then calibrate the pen, write on the screen, then clean it again and again and again. I can't stress this enough. Use some windex or other good screen cleaner sparingly but use a cleaner. Yours is shipping late enough that it should ship with a new stylus. After 4 days of cleaning and testing, if you still have trouble writing or lose calibration then you need a new stylus and can get one from support.

I'm extremely happy with mine but that first few days is kind of frustrating. This is the first PC in a while that actually required some type of weird "break in" period.

But after all that is done, its a great unit and I'm so glad I got mine.
