Hmm.. 2 time ago they put out an update for the wlan, and removed promiscuos mode, I complained, and they immediatly sent out a new release.
Last release they removed it again. I complained, and now another release! At least intel listens to its customers... now to find out if it has promiscuos mode turned back on!

I've just finished installing & tweaking this new driver, and I like what I see so far!
Be sure that during your install, you enable the last 3 options if you want them... These include some Admin controls that give you more control over how logons & connections are managed in connection with Windows Login. ALso, I was quickly able to hone in on Power Management options that have already boosted my signal at the home office. Very nice!

I'm not sure what "promiscuous mode" is, but trust that flibber will enlighten us!

I replaced the wireless adapter in my tablet with the Intel 2200BG back in early May. I installed the software that came with it and have never done any further upgrades. It seems to be working well. What are the major advantages to upgrading the drivers?
