OK I got the 3rd LT P-600 today and the pcmcia card slot on this one worked great! The guy that I got the unit from even installed a Linksys WPC54G ver2 wireless card in it to make sure this unit was working. He shipped it to me with W2K installed and everything was working great when I got it. Well being the guy that I am, I just could not leave well enough alone, and I upgraded to XP tonight and now I'm stuck! Wireless card will not work no matter what I do. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a number of times downloading the drivers from Linksys website, but there is a problem there also, they don't just give you the native driver, but some kind of utility that it requires you to install. I've installed it and it does not work says the device has a problem and put the Yellow ! in the device manager. I've even tried a D-Link DWL-G630 v3.00 card and it seems to install fine with the drivers that I have, device manager is clean after I install it, but it will not pick up any wireless networks and the lights on the card just continue to flash back and forth. Then when I try to restart the unit with the card in the slot, Windows will not boot up. What am I doing wrong here? If the Linksys card was working under W2K should it not also work under XP? I've installed these cards into a number of laptops and never seen anything like this. Please help..
