Am I missing something here? I bought a P-600 from a guy off of ebay and upgraded to Win XP Pro with the help of Sids' Setup and Northern Rebel and everything works great, but mt PCMCIA slot does not. I even had the guy send me another unit because I thought the first one was bad. I received the new unit today and it's pcmcia slot does not work either. I did not see a setting in the Bios to turn the pcmcia slot on or off. I'm trying to get my D-Link DWL-G630 card to work, but the slot does not even put power to it. What am I doing wrong or is it possible that both machines have bad PCMCIA slots. Help please...

PCMCIA Adapters that are installed under device manager are:
"O2Micro OZ6933 CardBus Controller" listed twice

Well it appears that I have 2 P-600's with bad pcmcia slots. I've tried both Win2K and WinXP on both of them and they will not power up any card that I put into the slot. Device manager is clean, but cards don't work. Anyone know if these machines have had problems with the pcmcia slots going bad on them? I also found out that Win2K works much better with the pen than does WinXP. Win2K much more touch sensitive and works much better. Let me know if you guys have heard anything about these PCMCIA slots, I'm sending these 2 units back to the guy and he is going to send me the last one he has.

These machines seemed to get dropped on their card slot side, especially when the user had a card in them. Unfortunately, the slot isn't a replaceable component like some IBM laptops. Maybe third time's a charm?
