Hello blakeab2018
Did you have a specific compatibility concern?
As Eric said, for the most part you can consider the Tablet PC Edition to be a superset of Windows XP Pro.
There are some built-in Ink enabled applications (e.g. Windows Journal), Speech recognition (in the Tablet Input Panel), support for screen rotation.
There a several PowerToys and "Packs" as well as applications that will only run on the Tablet PC Edition.
THANKS, WILL THE STYLUS PEN WORK AT ALL ON REGULAR XP?
it would probably work as a mouse pointer.
Is there something wrong with your CAPS-LOCK key?
i have a gateway m1300, with the recovery disk that has alot of drivers, do you think i can use regular xp? or anyone know where u can actually get a copy of windows tablet?
You can't use regular XP without loosing the functionality that you have with tablet edition.
Doesn't the recovery disk work?
You can't get a copy of windows Tablet without an MSDN subscription.
i had the disk, but it came from a vendor i deal with, and it says windows ia already activated. the disk was sealed and looked barand new what msdn subscription

You can read about msdn on the Microsoft msdn web site.
If you had a subscription - you would undoutbtedly know.
If you need to reload the operating system - the simplest way would be to use the recovery CD since you already have one.
