turn to max battery life ? the power settings ?
Hi, just got my x41t, 40GB 1GB RAM, 4-Cell Battery.
After fully charging the battery (100%) i am showing 1:55 left.
Then using the tablet it would drop to 1:33 in a couple of seconds, when i would open a web site, and crawl back up a little if I close my browser)
All n all, while simply running idle I am gettig less than 2 hrs...
(no app running except for Norton and MS Anti Spyware (in their tool bar mode, NOT expanded or anything)
Is that normal for the 4-cell battery???
I am running in Default Power settings.
Thanks,
Shai
turn to max battery life ? the power settings ?
Thanks...but then the screen is unusably dimmed... :-(
Is 1:30 or so all the 4-cell can give in normal use? That cant be (can it?)
Thanks!
The battery time left is only an estimation.
I guess the question is what is the actual (aprox) work time (for example browsing the net) you should normally get using a 4-cell...? ~ 1:30, 2hrs? 3hrs?
I understand the remaining time DISPLAY is just a dynamic estimate...
Thanks!
In the brief period I had the ibm x41 with the 8cell battery.. I noticed that if I kept the screen on high brightness and was using the wifi (web browsing), my typical battery life was around 4:30. Substantially less than the 5-6 hours people were quoting to me on the phone and on this msg board.
Based on that I would be surprised if 2 hours on the 4 cell battery would be a reasonable estimate.
Hey ... I set my laptop to show the lowest possible brightness when on battery power.
When discharging from 100% ... the estimation was that my 4c battery will last 2 hours.
I discharged it to 10% ... it was about 1hr30mins~2hrs (on heavy usage).
Just imagine what a 8-cell is capable of ... [8D]
PS: Anyone in Australia here, who has a X41 Tablet? Know anywhere to buy the 8c battery?
I have the 8 cell battery lowest brightness and max battery run 6 hours and always use it with the same configuration
