I own a c302xmi tablet which i tried to recover using the original recovery cds because the previous windows installation on the laptop was corrupt. the recovery went on finr until the third recovery disk which was defective?/had files missing? so i sent it back to acer to get replacements.

Now my dilenma,

The 1st replacements came and now none of the cds apart from the system cd will work. after booting with the system cd, it asks for the 1st recovery disk which tells me that

"z:\images\80e49y17.acr" is missing , please insert media to continue", i sent them back to get another set ,2nd set exact problem.

i complained to acer( very non chalant staff i must add) and they said i was a hardware fault, but it cant be because i have suse linux 9.3 working fine on it and i used the linux "EBCD" disk to check my harddrive before this..

i dont know what to do anymore and i really regret buying the laptop,
i cant send it in for repair because i dont have the reciept and acer wont touch it without it.
my only consolation is that linux is fantastic but a bitch to set up.
my harddrive is wipec clean so i cant get the files needed to build bootable iso image
