    Hi,

    I have had my tablet for about a month now. When I first received it I thought I had ordered the 8 cell battery but I did not receive it. Then I checked my order last week and it turns out I did order it. I called Lenovo up but they could not find my order history and they switched me to another line. After waiting on hold I just hung up and figured I would call back at a later date. Then five days ago I received an email:

    As you may recall, when you purchased your X41 Tablet you also opted for the X41 Promotional battery for $49. The battery was caught in the order and because it is on an extremely high constraint and allocated still for a few weeks the Sales Operations team removed it from the order.

    Because you are fully entitled to the promotion, I want to contact you to see if you would still like that spare battery for $49. If so, I do need the 3 digit code from the back of the card again to re-instate that portion of the order. Further, is there a convenient time and number that I can reach you at.

    I apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this may cause you.

    After reading that I do still not understand why I did not receive it with my original order. Any ideas? Did anyone else experience this?

    FWIW, I'm reading into the email that because of high demand (for the battery) they removed it from your order. Now, it seems, they have batteries in stock and want to know if you still would like it for $49. I really don't understand that because you in fact did order one, so why don't they just send it? Of course, if the "sales operations team" really did remove it from your order (which is a really strange practice IMO) then they would need some sort of "go ahead" from you to place the order again. What a mess!

    i called them up today and got them to give me the discount on a battery i ordered two weeks ago. hopefully i will receive it by the middle of next month. i asked the sales rep on the phone for further clarification as to why it was taken from my order but he said he was not sure why someone removed it from my order. i then asked if i would be able to receive the battery any sooner seeing as i had originally placed the order in july. he told me that people from june have still yet to receive their orders and that i am one of like 625 who are waiting while its in back order and i would just have to wait and hopefully i will get it sooner.

    oh well,
