Hi, i have an opportunity to get a 102ti for 1500 (both batts, case etc) and a usb cdrw (benq 24x) think i should go for it? or wait till a centrino? any idea's on how long they will be? i know acer has pics up on thier site (http://www.acer.com/APP/AKC/INTERNET...9?OpenDocument) so i cant picture it being too far off.... i can wait a bit (student, school is almost over) but i'd prefer not to =) hehe

I'm a student also in the market for a tablet. This is no doubt an incredible price (is that from cdw?). But I'm going to hold out for a while longer. I think the benefits that the pentium M will bring are worth the wait (assumming it's not over 3 months, but surely it won't be that long). I may wait even longer if theirs news of Transmeta's Astro and the OLED screens coming out soon.
Do you know if this c110 is the centrino model for sure?

from what i understand in the acer press releases the c110 will be centrino based... which will be nice, and some reports (on this site) even have teh release set for mid april at lower prices then the c104...
the deal i was talking about is a private sale ... if you (or anyone) wants the info i can give it to ya
wait wait WAIT...... maybe Acer will lift their 256k limit and if they dont, look for some deals on the 104 series...so since school is about over...enjoy spring and summer and start fall with a bang!
form what i understand about the acers the reason why they have the 256 limit is the motherboard they chose to use. And as far as i know the centrino platform only runs on the one motherboard, (if thats true up to 1gb could be used:D)
but those are just rumors i guess we will find out in april (or may) when these things actually come out!
I got the 102Ti from Sams Club for $1450. I've had it for 3 days now and I like it but I'm going to take it back. I want to be able to upgrade the ram. The convienence for note taking isn't worth the limitations. I notice it most when I've got an IDE and other apps running. However, I will point out that for a tiny keyboard, this one is great for typing.
I'm definately coming back to this brand for the size and this spiffy keyboard.
Hehehe - I bought the one you were looking at on Ebay. I *love* it and am sitting in class posting to this forum using the built in wireless. What a cool machine.

You might want to hold onto that one. The new Acer Centrinos are going to be at least $1000 more.

can anyone owning the Acer C10* tell me if the keyboard is ergonomic enough to write many and long textes? Or is it too small. Just want to know because I want to use it for my studies and I'll probably have to write a lot!
