Hm just dosn't work for me :\
If you're like me and often find that the TIP button disappears in Firefox, I've discovered a quick way to get it back. If you have Adblock installed (and you should!), click it's link at the bottom of the Firefox window. It will pop up with a list of addresses to block and a text box to enter your own. Simply click in this text box, and the TIP button will re-appear! Cancel out and continue to use TIP in Firefox.
This beats quitting and restarting Firefox.

This seems like a simpler solution? (Although, you will have to follow the comments on the page to solve the version problem).

No no, this is a solution for the disappearing TIP even with the TIP extension installed (in fact, the TIP doesn't show up at all without the extension). Maybe this is just specific to me, but my TIP sporadically disappears in Firefox, and the little workaround I posted gets it back for me.quote:Originally posted by rcxAsh

Just tried this and it works! Thanks for the tip; this was driving me crazy!
If only someone would continue to work on the tip extensions. The context-aware extension tcpisc crashes FF too much to use, even though its awesome when it works. Has anyone heard from Jim Hurd on whether he plans ongoing development of these at some point? Or anyone who knows enough to take over? I think most or all of the code is available...
Glad it's working for someone. [thumbsup]
