Alright excuse me being a idiot, but I'd like to know how I can use a projector with my M1400VA. As yet I don't actually own a projector but I have a monitor which I can test this on so I can test the theory.

What I want to do is to have one screen available on my tablet with a bunch of windows on it which I definitely do not want displayed on the projector/monitor. And then one window which I do want to go onto the projector. It might be nice if I could also see the window on the projector displaying on the tablet, but that's not essential. I'd like to be able to add other windows to the monitor/projector at will as well.

To explain in more detail, I want to be able to run an RPG session using the projector to project down onto the table top, to project maps and the occasional image. I want to run NWN toolset on the screen which projects down, and build maps on the fly (or ones I have created earlier) on there.

Meanwhile I want to have some RPG software (DMGenie) running on the tablet which it is important doesn't get displayed on the projector screen - and thus onto the table top. And a few other things I'll want on the tablet only, like web pages.

All I want to understand is how I can set it up such that some windows are displayed on the projector and some are on the tablet.

As I say, I don't own a projector yet, but I do own a monitor which I can prove this will or won't work on.

If you open up the Dashboard, you can choose Extended Desktop. This will allow you to "move" a windows over to an external monitor. In this fashion you can have certain programs on your tablet and another (or others) on the screen. I've never tried this with a projector, but can't think of any reason it would not work.
