Default Hey, I am looking for suggestions on getting a n

Hey, I am looking for suggestions on getting a new tablet pc. I currently have the M1400 and want to get a new and improved Tablet PC. I don't won't something that is heavy as a brick. Looking for great performance, security, durability, battery life of at least 4hrs, a screen that can be seen to at least 170 degrees and be able to view outdoors and indoors under florescent lighting. I am using this Tablet PC for everything from school, to business, to personal use. I have been looking at the new Motion LE1600 and the new IBM Thinkpad X41. But am curious about the Fujitsu ST5000D series. I see that they currently only have 1.1ghz and no portable keyboard. Anyone know if Fujitsu is coming out with a newer model sometime soon?? Or will it be till next year? I need to have a portable keyboard. So any suggestions would be appreciated. Oh and also looking for a Tablet PC with style, something that just grabs the eye. I must say that the best looking Tablet PC I have seen has been the Fujitsu ST5000D.

    Thanks!

What do you mean by "portable keyboard"? Fujitsu has IR keyboards (I like mine, not the IR mouse though) and any usb or bluetooth keyboard you like can be used (if you have bluetooth). If you really want a small descent portable keyboard I recommend the Stow-A-Way keyboards, either bluetooth or usb depending on your components. They fold up small enough to fit in your pocket and have a descent feel when typing. If you refer to something like Motions hardtop keyboard then your right, Fujitsu doesn't have one. I agree its something I would like to see also. I seldom use my keyboard but I like the idea of a screen cover that doubles as a keyboard. Rather or not I would buy one is another story.... I use my Fujitsu slate in a bump case 90% of the time and a Motion style keyboard wouldn't be any good to me.

By portable keyboard I mean something that can easily be carried. Like the Motion Hardtop Keyboard or even just a convertible tablet that is light. What is the lightest Tablet with a 12.1' screen and an optical drive? And also without? With the Motion and IBM in thought and I am leaning more over to the IBM lately with the security and durability. Is there any Tablet out there or soon to come out that will beat the IBM or Motion LE1600? Or are those the best tablets on the market till next year?

The lightest tablet I've seen that includes an internal optical drive is the fujitsu 4000 series. The current model is the Fujitsu lifebook T4020. It weighs in at 4.3 pounds, which is light enough to be portable.
