Hello all,
I am an engineering student half way through my third year of study. I have heard some great things about tablet PC's (especially the M200) and I have managed to convince myself that I need a tablet.
My dilemma is this, I can buy a T41 tablet off the IBM employee sales site for a pretty good deal. Given the amount of hype that surrounds the T41 lately I am sorely tempted to do so but one thing holds me back. I am concerned that XGA might not offer enough screen space for my needs.
Are there any engineering students out there who use the T41 tablet that can clue me in on whether XGA is enough? I have seen my friend's M200 and the amount of information that you can display at once is incredible.

I messed around with AutoCad on my X41 tablet and found it to be pretty annoying, but then I normally use it on at least a 20" screen, and would find anything much smaller than that annoying. Most other applications seemed fine at 1024x768, but I need a lot of dynamic range on a drawing and use toolbars which take up space.
You can get the X41 (probably delivered in October at this point) and if it just isn't working for you, return it within a month for the cost of shipping. Or, if you want something now, there are other options.
