Does anyone know about tabtip.exe? When I log off or shut down it makes me wait for tabtip to close and then it doesn't respond. I just did a panda scan, but nothing turned up. I searched the forum and this page came up and some guy disabled it (second page)

I was curious it I could disable it, though It does sound important.

tabtip.exe and tcserver.exe are associated with the Tablet Input Panel. (the TIP).
You can disable them but you will lose the the TIP.
Is this recent?
Have you installed anything new lately?
How long do you go between reboots?
Have you installed the patch for the TIP memory leak?
The only things that I downloaded were powertoys and Ad-Aware. It happened twice today and once last night when I turned it off. I also just installed the memory leak fix today. I think the memory fix is what fixed it (if it is fixed). My last shutdown went fine.
Correction, I just logged off and windows had to wait for tabtip.exe again
EDIT: Yeah, I got rid of some powotoys- the webseatch one and some other one and Tabt.exe is closing properly.
