I successfully upgraded my hard drive, however windows xp is not recognizing my old hdd as a storage device when I connect it.

Can anyone help?

How are you powering the drive?

I've got my hard drive on my desk right now. Works flawlessly, with external power.

I've done the same process and XP picks mine up perfectly with and without external power. The M200 is on AC power when I do this.
