There has really only been one thread on cases for the x41t and that doesn't have much info.. so I wanted to start a new one about sleeves only..

I've only really found 2 that I am interested in:

    http://www.booqbags.com/Detail.bok?no=97
    http://shinza.com/product_info.php?c...products_id=45

Now.. the x41's shape is kind of strange.. not only is it wedged but the battery also extends from the back.. My measurements give..

About 275 x 240 x 30mm (at its widest).. and this is with the 4cell.. the 8cell is an even bigger mess..

    The vyper's dimensions are 284 x 231 x 36mm.. thats almost a centimeter off.. so I am pretty confident it won't fit..

The shinza's dimensions are 290 x 240 x 40mm.. that theoretically should fit.. but the battery areas shape is so weird.. I think it will be really close and not a very nice fit..

So my question is.. has anybody gotten a nice sleeve yet that fits the x41t nicely? The IBM one is nasty.. and I'm not looking for one with a window.

    Thanks

WaterField Designs will be making a SleeveCase (http://www.sfbags.com/products/sleev...leevecases.htm) for the X41T. I was corresponding with them yesterday and the indication was that it should be available within a few weeks. Let's hope that they don't take lessons from Lenovo regarding dates.

i found another decent one that i think could fit..

    http://foofshop.com/
the "blue split" looks nice and i think the 12" ibook will fit.. hopefully.. it might extend a tad out.. but height and width will be fine.. they dont give exact dimensions.. other than that.. only problem is it says foof on the bag ;).. surely less professional than most of you want.. but wont be bad for my backpack.. im getting desperate anyway..

I ordered the XM 2006 System and the Booq Vyper XS is included with it. I have it sitting with me right now (It's a damn admirable bag, I must say), and when I get my X41 I'll let you know if it fits.

    update:

    I recieved this today: http://www.radtech.us/Products/Speci...s.aspx#Rebound

The 12" ibook rebound. It fits really well with a 4 cell. No chance for an 8 cell (obviously). But I'm very happy with the fit and the quality.

I just got this sleeve that IBM offers to its employees and it looks and works great, and it was cheap...
