I am currently using the Verizon EVDO card, PC 5220, in my LE 1600 without any problems. I have also used it in my M1400 without issue.
I'm looking for a very good tablet PC which handles
EVDO technology without the hardware hassles described
already within this forum.
Thankyou.

Off topic, but I have a general question about Verizon EvDO service. when you travel to the area where EVDO is not supported, can you still use 1xRTT? Also, if you have a data plan, can you use the EVDO on EVDO support phones as well as on the laptop?
I too use EVDO as well. If EVDO is not available it will go down to lxRRT! once EVDO is avail it will automatically connect to it
EVDO not available in my area, not planned for my area, not happening in my area. EVDO like sushi was in the '70s. I've heard of it, but not seen it. Would have liked to try it. Small town, but a nice place to raise kids.
The Verizon modems step down to 1xRTT when not in an EVDO covered area. Works great and I couldn't live without it now. This in a tc1100.
You may also want to check out Verizon's E815, which is made by Motorola. I got one the other day and am able to connect at EVDO speeds using Bluetooth. The downside to using a cell phone rather than a PC card is you can not be on the Internet and the phone at the same time.
