I own a M200.
But i'm always too scared to play 3D games on my M200.Coz usually after 10-30 min of World of Warcraft, the temp from the program (SpeedFan) shows 100 C
wow 100C, can u believe it?
u can cook an egg with that temperature.
im just wondering if any of you guys play 3D games on ur machines, get the same kind of temperature i'm getting, and do you guys experience any problems, faults.
Any computer would cease to work if the cpu was at 100C. The temperature at which a cpu "fries" is 70C, so that temperature monitor is wrong.
I wouldn't worry about it, unless you're running your laptop in a hot room. If so, turn on the AC or get one of those "chill pads", which sit under your laptop and have fans that blow air away from your laptop.
I play games all the time on my M200 and even though the fans turn on, the computer itself doesn't heat up that much.

what about gpu ?
it says remote temp: 98C
im guessing remote temp refers to the graphic card location
If the Pentium M overheats, it will throttle down and give you an error message. If that's not happening, keep going. I upgraded to a 2.0 Dothan and was concerned about the heat. It sat on 65 Deg Centigrade on full power, and went up to 90 when I was rendering videos. It turns out that is normal. There are a few threads here that talk about CPU heat issues. I use MBM 5 and I'm not sure how accurate it is, except that I used another utility (can't remember which) that gave me the same numbers...

i play games on my m200, too (hl2,avp2,...). It gave´s no problem all times.
98C: where - cpu or gpu (max gpu is 140C -limit of graphic accelerator).
Play Guildwars all the time on mine... Class game.
I play Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 on mine for typically several hours a day and have never had a problem. A lot of the time it even runs better than my other machine that has similar specs.

curious... what settings are you guys playing your games at (like MS FS2004, HL2, AVP2, etc.) Also, what video drivers are you using? I cant seem to play Battlefield 2 all too well...

I play the games with detonator 46.44 (toshiba site). Spec: 1024x768; 32bit vertical sync, fsaa off (hl2: 800x600, all high).
The Omega driver is the best (for playing, my opinion), but the rotation doesn´t function, it is only for notebook mode :-( (in hl2 you has better quality - fog, water for example).
