I hope that we are seeing real evolution here. We need something much lighter than a 3 lb brick. I love my tablet, but it's still way too heavy to be something I want to carry around with me.
Blurring the line even more between Tablets and PDAs. What advantage would a small tablet have over a PDA??
I heard a rumor about this during CES and took it as just that, rumor.
Perhaps it's actually coming.
So is this a full blown tablet PC, only smaller with all of the capabilities? Or is this a beefed up PDA with only some capabilities. I wouldn't mind a smaller, more capable machine.
ra-
the only thing different would be the enormous price tag these will have for the first 2-3 years out. remember the Newton. Look at the OQO.
too damn expensive for it;s size/functionality. i can't see spending 1500-2000 for a stripped down version of the tablet...
the manufacturers will not see this until it's been undersold for a long time...
Someone probably got a quick glance at an 1600 extended battery pack, overheard "July release" and assumed...
But stranger things have happened. Watch those FCC filings...
The product isn't even known to exist yet and you're already bashing it?
We don't know what kind of OS, specs, or price this thing will have, or for that matter if it actually exists. Kavanagh makes a good point.
Anything Motion releases make me envious.
Envy is a sin.
Therefore Motion is evil, and should stop releasing gooey, shiny new products immediately.
