    I've seen a couple of remarks stating that it'll be fixed in GoBinder 2006. Does 2006 mean that we'll have to wait for half a year ? ;)
    Furthermore, is of will there be a public beta and if so, can it be used side by side with Gobinder 2005 ?

    Regards,
    Ruud

    We have not announced any release or beta dates for GoBinder 2006.
    There will be a beta, probably public. No dates announced for that either. If there is, you will certainly hear about it on TabletPCBuzz.
    GoBinder 2006 is a major database upgrade. You will be able to import your old database, but GoBinder 2005 will not be able to read the new format.
    For that (and other reasons) we will ensure that you can run GoBinder 2006 side by side with GoBinder 2005. This is also true for the release version, so that you can try the program, and if you don't like it (what are the chances of that) revert back to GoBinder 2005.

    I'm just about to buy my first tablet and am thinking of purchasing GoBinder 2005 before the start of fall semester. What is the expected cost to upgrade to 2006? Also, is there any chance you could give us a ballpark (aka, very rough guess) timetable for 2006? Are we talking six months, a year, longer? I would like to have some general idea like that so I can decide if it's worthwhile to buy now or try to get by with OneNote (which I already have, but am not a huge fan of it) until 2006 is released. Thanks!

    I'm not connected with Agilix in any way, but here are two facts that might shed some light on when GoBinder 2006 might appear:
    1. In the past, a new version of GoBinder has been released each summer, labeled with the following year;
    2. If there is going to be a public beta program as mentioned above, that usually takes a few months and it has not started yet.

    If I buy GB now, will I get to upgrade to GB 2006 if/when it is available? (Or whatever the next major version is?)

    I would assume that there is an aggressive upgrade price available.
    It's still a little early to talk about it now. Let me remind Sales to announce the pricing strategy before we announce beta and relase dates.

    It's really too bad the much improved,GoBinder 2006 is going to miss the late summer back-to-school season. Could Sales be asked to consider advertising a deal where any GoBinder 2005 purchased from say August 1st through September 30 will include a free upgrade to GoBinder 2006 when available?

    This might well prove to be a significant problem: how does Agilix convince tbe present user base to upgrade?

    I'll guess we have to create compelling enough feature for you to want to upgrade. I'll let the application speak for itself. Personally I am not worried.
