The ad says it works with the Toshiba 3500. The batteries of the 3500/05 and the M200/05 are not compatible.
I found the external Toshiba battery charger (PA3091U1CHG) that works with the m200 and m205 for $49.88 at JandR. It can charge two batteries at once. It was on techbargains. Here is the link.

You are correct there. While the two different machines take different batteries, according to the website, it looks like it will work with both batteries. Apologies.
The charger will work I have one. the shape of the battery is different but the charge connector is the same.
A couple of questions. I got M205-S810. I can't find that particular charger from the website shown here. Also I am interested in getting a battery - do you know the spec of the battery for M205?

I need to take about 12 hours non stop flight out side the country.
What should I battery option should I take for my M200?? One I have seem to last about 2.5 hours at low speed...
I looked through few options...
External Portable Battery $186
http://www.batterygeek.net/
OEM style Battery pack from National Parts $104
http://www.nationalparts.com
Which one would be the best option? It seems like running times are similar between external or internal batteries (4-5 hours)... If this really is the case, I would like to get the less hassel internal ones. But my logical side of brain tells me the external battery would actually last much longer. Anyone here has personal experiences?
Also what would keep the battery last longer... keep it standby when you are not using it more than 5 min. OR keep it hibernate OR turn it off ?? I usually take about 5 min to 10 min. doing other things while I am at my laptop. I seem to do this 2 or 3 times an hour or so...
Any suggestions?
I have a 6-9 hour external battery I carry for times like this. It weighs a ton but I leave it in my large carry case and just run the wire out. Check with your air carrier, many have DC outlets available at your seat and I have a small DC adapter I use then...Its a lot lighter. ;)
Another plus with an external battery is when you upgrade your TPC your large capacity battery will probably still work on the new one.
I would go to standby first and hibernate after 10 minutes.
Northern_Rebel,
Can you tell me which brand, model, and place you bought for the 6-9 hour External Battery? How is its performance? Does it really last 6 hours or more? Has the peformance gone down since you bought it?
6-9 hour seems fantastic~
Unfortunately I could not find any outlet in Boeing 747 economy seats yet... One thing I did notice was that there are wall outlet in almost all airlines' bathrooms. I wonder if I can recharge there. Probably not a good idea living $2000 laptop in there but who knows....
